Carolyn Joan "Jo" Kelton

Carolyn Joan “Jo” Kelton, age 83,  of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away at 4:21 pm on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Carolyn was born in Marion, Illinois on December 21, 1930, the daughter of Joseph Howard and Ruby Jane (Schafer) Murrow. She married Billie Blue Kelton on June 21, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2012. Mrs. Kelton was a homemaker. Survivors include her Daughter- Ruth Ann Wilbanks of Dyersburg, TN Son- William Joe Kelton and wife Marsha of Mt. Vernon Son- Kevin Kelton and wife Melanie of Ina Brother- Howard “Bud” Murrow of Marion Five Grandchildren- David and Emily Wilbanks, Jennifer Kelton, Dustin Kelton, and Mirranda and Jada Breeze and Crystal Green Seven Great Grandchildren- Tyler and Shelby Wilbanks, Conner and Rianna Clifton, Makenzie Kelton, Kaitlyn Green and Lilianna Nunez She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother- John Randall Murrow, and two sisters- Mary Ida Franklin and Betty Ruth Follis. Memorial services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Tim Coonce officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements.
