Carroll E. "Bud" Tait

Pittsburg- Carroll E. “Bud” Tait, age 91, of Pittsburg, passed away at 3:30pm on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Carroll was born in Edwards County on January 11, 1925, the son of John and Stella (Coad) Tait. He married Leola Paralee Ridenour in Grayville on January 11, 1945, his twentieth birthday. Mr. Tait was a member of Brown’s Chapel Church in Grayville. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife- Leola Paralee Tait of Pittsburg Son- Lonnie D. and Annette Tait of Pittsburg Daughter- Carol L. and Bob Harris of Carthage, MO Nine grandchildren- Wayne Harris Nathaniel Harris Ida Marie Still Sonja Tait Cheryl Lynn Leseuere Linda Jane Nixon Jordan Tait Lisa Tait Angelina Tait Ten Great Grandchildren Sister- Mona Over of Pekin He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister- Vonda Hortin, and four brothers- George, Urbie, Warren, and Bruce Tait. Memorial services to celebrate Bud’s life will be held at 10am on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Brown’s Chapel Church in Grayville. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery at a later date.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.
