Freeman Spur- CECELIA J. ADELSBERGER, age 95, of Freeman Spur, passed away at 10:40am on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Herrin Hospital.
Cecelia was born on October 16, 1916 in Franklin County, the daughter of Hypolite and Mary Anna Surgalski. She married Ralph Adelsberger in Piggott, Arkansas on April 24, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1993.
Cecelia was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Five grandchildren- Charles Adlesberger of Freeman Spur, IL

Angel and JR Raye of Herrin, IL
Four Great Grandchildren- Dallas Cockrum of Pope County, IL
Riley and Zoey Malotte of Clarksville, TN
Christian James Raye of Herrin, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Tommy Hooper, grandson- Christopher Hutchison, sister- Margaret Hooper, and two brothers- Matthew and John T. Surgalski.
Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes with a prayer service at 5pm on Friday evening at the funeral home.
