Herrin-Celeste A. Marlow, 88, died 1:30 P.M., Sunday, July 13, 2003 at her residence. Celeste was born February 14, 1915 in Herrin to Paul & Delena (Cassani) Merlo. She married Mario L. Mike Marlow on February 16, 1933 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1996. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: Son & Daughter In Law: Louis & Sheila Marlow of Energy Daughter & Son In Law: Delene & Virgil Lukens of Herrin Four Grandchildren & their spouses: Bruce & Pam Lukens of Herrin Michael & Lisa Lukens of Herrin Greg & Cindy Marlow of Johnston City Lori & Jerry Rowland of Green Bay, WI. Eight Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandson Brother & wife: Angelo & Jenny Marlow of Johnston City Brother In Law & Wife: John & Romona Bush of Benton, IL. Sister In Law & husband: Shirley M. & Martin Anderson of Herrin Also survived by several nieces & nephews and many close friends She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Virginia Gualdoni and Rose Del Bush, two brother in laws, Louis Gualdoni and Ceasar Beckum Marlow. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 15th, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Msgr. Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to OLMC Building Renovation Fund or to the Herrin Food Pantry.
