Charles C. Graves, 92, of Crab Orchard, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 6:25 pm at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Charles was born August 5, 1925 on the family farm in Williamson County the son of McKinley and Lula (Angel) Graves. He married Imogene Roper on July 17, 1946 in Morganfield, Kentucky and in July they celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary.
He attended Center Baptist Church in Crab Orchard. Charles was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was an avid gardener, and loved that he was able to share what he grew with his neighbors, especially his sweet potatoes. In later years he was an avid mall walker, enjoying traveling and Mr. Fix-it in his neighborhood.
Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Preceded by his Parents, Brothers – Kenneth, James, Sam, Leroy and Johnny Graves, father-in-law and mother-in-law – Roy and Helen Roper.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Cutsinger officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
