Creal Springs- Charles David Chuck Pullen, 69, of Creal Springs, passed away at 11:04 AM, Monday, March 20, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Charles was born on September 9, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Robert Franklin & Norita (Ramirez) Pullen. He married Shirley Ann Purkaple on June 13, 1958 in Reno, NV. Together they shared forty-seven wonderful years.
Charles was a barber. He worked in various locations in Northern & Southern California prior to his retirement. He owned Chucks Barbershop in Auburn, CA for many years before moving with his family to Southern Illinois.
He enjoyed spending time fishing for the big one on the Lake of Egypt and taking spontaneous trips with his wife and family to various parts of the US and Canada. He enjoyed the road less traveled and the little things in life. He was Lutheran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Pullen in infancy.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with family and friends on the West Coast. Arrangements are being handled by Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
