HERRIN- Charles Chuck Edward Foster, 72, of Herrin, passed away at 3:00pm on Tuesday November 22, 2005 surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Herrin. Charles was born in Herrin on November 13, 1933 to Anna Lee (Keeling) and Joe Foster. He married Judith Ann Masters on July 6, 1957. She survives in Herrin. Mr. Foster was retired from Herrin Unit 4 School District where he was a custodian for 23 years. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He loved to bowl and enjoyed gardening and watching baseball and football. Go Rams! Chuck was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include- Wife- Judy Foster- Herrin, IL 1 son- Charles Chuck Foster, Jr.- Destin, FL 3 daughters- Monica Ann Foster- Dallas, TX Lora Lynn (husband Chris) Eitzenhefer- Lenzburg, IL Melanie Renae Norris- Herrin, IL 7 grandchildren- Kortnie Rose White- Lenzburg, IL Kyle Jordan White- Lenzburg, IL Emily Ann Eitzenhefer- Lenzburg, IL Sydney LeeAnn Norris- Herrin, IL Justin Charles Norris- Herrin, IL Kayla Christine Norris- Herrin, IL Jessica Danielle Foster- Memphis, TN 2 sisters- Shirley Pebbles- Johnston City, IL Ruby Mann- Tupelo, MS 1 brother- Raymond Foster- Falls Church, PA Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers- Leon and Ralph Foster Funeral services for Chuck will be 11:00am on Saturday November 26, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with the Rev. Don Colson officiating. Entombment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be held on Friday November 25, 2005 from 6-9pm at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on this Earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So, He closed your weary eyelids and whispered Peace be Thine. It breaks our hearts to lose you, but you didnt go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. Youre in Gods garden, Daddy. I hope to see you there one day.
