Charles E. Ted Cox, 78, of Marion passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 9:20 P.M. at Herrin Hospital.
Ted was born January 2, 1932 in Marion the son of Roscoe & Fern (McInturf) Cox. He married Linda Lee Hamlett on April 6, 1951 in Marion and together they shared over 47 years of marriage until her death on December 21, 1998.
He was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force, proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He attended the Crab Orchard Methodist Church; he was a member of the Elks and Masonic Lodge. Ted retired as an Executive of the Fleet Department for the Chrysler Corporation.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
