Bush- CHARLES IVAN SLOAN, age 60, of Bush, passed away at 3:30am on Monday, March 2, 2009 at his home.
Charles was born on January 27, 1949, in Canton, MO, the son of Charles Lewis and Marjorie (Osborn) Sloan. He married Cathy Cornelius on July 26, 1991 in Corinth, MS. Together, they have shared seventeen years of marriage. She survives in Bush.
Mr. Sloan was a retired truck driver and worked for Snap on Tools in Wisconsin. He was a Sergeant in the Vietnam War where he served in the Iron Horse Platoon.

One Daughter- Sandy Robles of Bush, IL
Two Grandsons- Charles Ivan Sloan and Benjiman Michael Sloan of Kenosha, WI
Three Sisters- Helen Smith of Kenosha, WI
Lynn and Craig Kewenig of Kenosha, WI
Debra Garro of Bush, IL
Two Brothers- Michael and Loretta Maze of Kenosha, WI
David Maze of Jackson, IL
Several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with a eulogy given by the family. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
