Charles Lavern Biehl, 83, passed away at Franklin Hospital in Benton Saturday, March 1, 2003 at 4:36 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes funeral home in Marion Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at 1:30 P.M. Rev. Roger David will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday evening from 5-8 P.M. Memorials may be given to Alzheimers Association and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Charles was born March 7, 1919 in Williamson County to Charles Lewis and Bessie (Simmons) Biehl. He married Tresa Frankie in Cape Girardeau, MO August 2, 1942. She survives in Marion. He was a life long resident of Williamson County and served in WW II in the U.S. Army. As a cadet he flew B-25s. After his military service he returned to Williamson County and worked and retired from the Teamsters Union #347 of West Frankfort. He was a member of Shilo Christian Church and an avid vegetable and fruit tree gardener.
Survivors include: Wife Tresa Biehl of Marion: Daughter Linda South of Marion: Grandchildren Charles Matthew South of Novata, CA, Mikaela Lyn South of San Rafael, CA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, Brother Paul Biehl, Sister Gladys Russell.
