Charles Lee, 68, of Mountain View, Arkansas formally of Marion, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 3:56 A.M. at his residence. Charles was born January 30, 1935 to Thomas and Eva (Swain) Lee in Chicago, Illinois. He met and married Helen Marie Griffen of Marion and together they had four (4) children, she preceded him in death. Charles met and married Nettie Payne in Oklahoma in 1991. They lived in Marion for six (6) years and after visiting Mt. View, Arkansas they fell in love with the town, the music and the people. They sold their home in Marion and moved there. Charles retired from Maytag in 1990 after working there thirty (30) years. Charles was a member of the Church of God. His favorite scripture was I John 5:11 That God has given us Eternal life, and this life is in his son Jesus Christ Survivors include; Wife Nettie Lee of Mt. View, Arkansas Son Kevin Lee of Marion Daughter Karla Parks and husband Ronald Dee of Crab Orchard Daughter Kelly Sparks and husband Stan of Johnston City Four (4) Grandchildren; Jason Parks & Krystal Parks of Crab Orchard Shannon Sparks & Shawn Sparks of Johnston City Two (2) Brothers; Thomas Lee and wife Hazel of Stilwell, Oklahoma Robert Lee and wife Helen & children of Spokene, Washington Two (2) Stepchildren; Rick Smith and wife Sherri of Oklahoma Darla Hutson and husband Terry of Tahliquah, Oklahoma Two (2) Step Grandchildren; Valery Burba and husband Jeremery of Oklahoma R.D. Smith of Oklahoma One (1) Step Great Grandchild Trinity Burba of Oklahoma Preceded by Wife, Helen, Daughter Karen Lee, Parents Funeral services will be Friday, January 16, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Joplin officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
