Charles R. Pendall

Charles R. Pendall, 73, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 5:45 P.M. at his residence. Charles was born July 10, 1935 the son of Velta Pendall & Olive K. (Johnson) Pendall Williams in Zeigler. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired truck driver and had been baptized at the Christian Church in Hurst. He worshipped God in nature. He loved to hunt, fish, travel and tell stories. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Pastor Jim Rutherford and Josh Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
