Marion- CHARLES RAYMOND Sonny RAGLIN, age 75, of Marion, passed away at 4:05am on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at his home in Marion.
Charles was born on December 7, 1923 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the son of Raymond and Pearl (Groves) Raglin.
Raised in Marion, Charles later moved to Lockport. He was employed for many years by Signal Delivery, which was a carrier for Sears Co. Mr. Raglin served with valor on the USS AJAX during the Korean War and was a proud member of the VFW. Later in life, he returned home to Marion where he resided for the past twenty-five years.

daughter- Marilyn Marie and Gary Goucher of Joliet, IL
daughter- Rima and Harvey English of Herrin, IL
Grandson- Robert and Christina Hornbuckle of Joliet, IL
Grandson- Stacy Crowe of Joliet, IL
Granddaughter- Michele and Stephen Vaughn of Herrin, IL
Granddaughter- Heather and Brad Staley of Herrin, IL
Nine Great Grandchildren
Sister- Helen Walker of Marion, IL
Niece- Debbie and Dale Arnold of Marion, IL
Nephew- Jerry and Mary Jo Walker of Tunnel Hill, IL
Former Wife- Jane Raglin of Joliet, IL
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved son, Terry Ray Raglin on November 6, 2007 in Culver City, California. Services were held at Church of the Hills in California on November 13, 2007. In Memory of Terry Ray~ He touched all our lives, we will always remember his smile and laughter, his strength, and love of Shamus the cat. He was a friend to all, everyone loved Ray. Earth has no sorrows that Heaven cannot heal.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his aunt and uncle- Bud and Irene Raglin.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurse and caregivers of VNA TIP Hospice. A deep debt of gratitude goes out to caregiver, Chrissy Craig of Williamson County Program on Aging.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Ivan Ryan will officiate. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with military honors performed by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and the National Guard Unit. Visitation will held from 10:00am until noon on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
