Charlie B. Kelley, 89, died at 4:15 A.M.on Thursday, February 27, 2003 at the Village in Cameron, MO.
He was born June 19, 1913 in Williamson County to Charles and Mary Kelley. He married Dorothy Simmons on December 25, 1931. Two children were born to this union.
He worked many years at Sangamo Electric in maintenance. When Sangamo closed, he moved to Missouri where he worked for 15 years for Lipton Corp. He retired from Lipton Corp. and purchased apartments, which he owned and maintained for the rest of the 40 years he lived in Missouri.
Survivors include his children, grandchildren and their spouses, and 13 great-grandchildren. Children and their spouses are: Cecil and Polly Kelley of Independence, MO, and Kay and Bob Broeking of Marion, IL. Grandchildren, spouses and great-grandchildren are: Mike Kelley and Steven of Independence, MO, Mary and Bill Williamson of Breckenridge, CO, Alicia and Lauri Sindt and sons Andy, Aaron, Ammon and daughter Amy of Cameron, MO, Kelly and Scott Holland and sons Derek, Ryan, and Connor Atkisson, Tyler Holland and daughter Samantha Holland of Marion, IL, Tim and Darla Broeking and son Graham and daughter Lauren Rutland of Marion, IL, Brent and Jenny Broeking and son Jackson of Perryville, MO.
His wife, parents, brothers and sisters all preceded him in death.
Mr. Kelley was a priest and member in the Community of Christ Church.
Mr. Kelley was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, with Masonic rites by Masonic Lodge 89 AF & AM will be held at 6:00 P.M. Sunday Evening at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes funeral home with Gordon Lambert officiating and assisted by Glen Webb from Community of Christ Church. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery in Tunnel Hill.
Memorial Donations may be made to Community of Christ Church or Hospice, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
