Cheryl Ann Green

Herrin- Cheryl Ann Green, age 64, of Herrin, passed away at 7:24pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Cheryl was born in Barstow, California on June 2, 1953, the daughter of Kenneth and Virginia (Mangum) Smothers. She married J.T. “Ted” Green on August 5, 1979 in Marion. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2002. Mrs. Green had retired from the Rea Clinic, where she served as the Chief Financial Officer. Survivors include her two sons- Joshua and Christy Beamer of Milford, Kansas Jason and Eleni Baltas-Beamer of Herrin Four Grandchildren- Andrew and Danielle Beamer of Manhattan, Kansas Emma Beamer of Milford, Kansas Katie Beamer of Milford, Kansas Damon Baltas of Herrin Great Grandchild- Odynn Beamer of Manhattan, Kansas Step-Children- J.T. and Joan Green of Dunwoody, GA Sheila and Tim Seiler of Boonville, Indiana Tracy and Chris Brakie of Boonville, Indiana Step-Grandchildren- Austin and Jennifer Seiler of Boonville, Indiana Dillon and Julie Seiler of Chrisney, Indiana Brittany and Shawn Skeels of Newburg, Indiana Taylor Brasel of Boonville, Indiana Brandon Brasel of Boonville, Indiana Rachel Green of Dunwoody, GA Walker Green of Dunwoody, GA Gregory Green of Dunwoody, GA D.J. Green of Dunwoody, GA Jakobe Green of Dunwoody, GA Step-Great Grandchildren- Cooper, Aiden, and Keaton Brother- Eric and Mary Smothers of Indiana Three sisters- Ella and Kirk Rounds of Herrin Susan Smothers of Herrin Mary and Les Rice of Lubbock, Texas She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Frances de Sales Cemetery in New Burnside, IL.  Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
