Energy- Cheryl Lynn LaBelle, 54, of Herrin, passed away at her home in Energy at 4:20 AM, Thursday, December 9, 2004.
Cheryl was born on June 30, 1950 in Herrin to K. Elwood & June (Burgess) Hunter. She married Norman LaBelle at Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin on April 12, 1975.
Cheryl attended Second Baptist Church in Herrin and was a strong Christian lady who fought her illness bravely for twenty-four years. She enjoyed her grandchildren dearly, but loved cheering for her daughter, Kimberly, in her many sports endeavors most of all.
She was a mother and homemaker first and foremost, but worked as a Tupperware representative and most recently as a bank teller at the former Heartland National Bank in Herrin.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 13, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Brad Harlow will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
