Herrin- Christina Radcliffe, 91, of Herrin, died at 5:15 AM, Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Fountains Nursing Center in Marion.
Christina was born on October 20, 1911 at the family home in Carterville to Lindsey & Nellie (Ellington) Radcliffe. Until her retirement, she worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell in Chicago for 45 years.
Miss Radcliffe was a member of the Herrin First Baptist Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading historical literature.

Great Nephew- Jeff Skinner- Baton Rouge, LA
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters; Zella Collard, Mabel Radcliffe, Ophia Williams, Evelyn Propes, and Ailene Brown, infant brother; Ernest Radcliffe, & one great niece; Cindy Sue Kirk.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 21, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Paul Tirey will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
