Freeman Spur- CHRISTINE MUTCHEK, age 87, of Freeman Spur, passed away at 11:25am on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Helia Healthcare in Energy. Christine was born in Herrin on July 9, 1924, the daughter of Nick and Grace (Alexander) Null. She married Jack Mutchek in Mount Vernon on July 11, 1963. Together, they shared forty-eight years of marriage. Jack survives in Freeman Spur. Christine was a homemaker. She loved to crochet, craft, garden, camp, and fish, spending many enjoyable moments at Arrowhead Lake in Johnston City. Christine is survived by her husband- Jack Mutchek of Freeman Spur Three Grandchildren- Christine (Pool) Farina of South Carolina Larry and Susie Pool of Woodlawn Kirk and Linda Pool of Mount Vernon Seven Great Grandchildren Four Great Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews- Shirley and Bill Gibbs, Judy Long, Beverly Spond, Jane and Ted Miller, and Shirley Golden Brother-in-laws- Charles and Joyce Mutchek, Tom and Laura Mutchek Sister-in-laws- Margaret Arms Adopted Daughter and Grandson- Ranetta and Brandon McRill of Freeman Spur Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter- Dorothy Dottie Pool, her son- Sam Milazzo, three brothers- Albert, Carl, and Eugene Null, and two sisters- Vera Bishop and Geardine Warren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Hays and staff; Dr. Lipoff and staff; the Williamson County Ambulance personnel; the nurses and staff of Helia Healthcare in Energy as well as the nurses and staff of Herrin Hospital, Heartland Regional Medical Center, and Davita Dialysis Center. Your care and compassion during this time was very much appreciated. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Virgil Pool officiating. Burial will follow at Denning Cemetery in Orient. Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Sunday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
