Clara M. Osborne

Clara M. Racey Osborne, 68, formerly of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 07, 2010 at 7:18 A.M. at her mothers home in Buncombe. Clara was born September 3, 1941 in Johnson County the daughter of Delbert L. & Bertha (Littlepage) Caraker. She married John E. Racey on June 3, 1962 in Bumcombe and he preceded her in death. She later married James Osborne in Evansville, Indiana on October 23, 1981 and together they shared over 11 years of marriage until his death on February 13, 1993. She attended Grange Hall Baptist Church. Clara was retired, having worked as a LPN Nurse for the V.A. and as a Visiting Nurse Plus in Evansville. Survivors include; Mother Bertha Caraker of Buncombe Two Sons; William Racey and fianc Sarah Parks of Marion Timothy Racey and wife Sarah of Marion Three Grandchildren; Nathan & Jordan Racey of Cape Girardeau, Missouri Kassie Hastings of Marion Brother Delbert Dean & Betty Caraker of Marion Two Sisters; Ann Ford and husband Neal of Karnak Alice Sims and husband Roy of Buncombe Several nieces and nephews Preceded by her Father and Husbands John Racey and James Osborne. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
