Clarence L. (Corky) Smith

Clarence L. Corky Smith, 50, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 2:08 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. He was born October 7, 1958 the son of Gordon & Patricia (McComb) Smith in Rock Island County, Illinois. Corky attended Scottsboro Baptist Church and had worked as a mate for Ingram Barge Corporation. Corky is survived by; Son Gordon David Smith of Herrin Two Daughters; Vanessa Smith of Marion Patty Smith of Goreville Four Brothers; Kelly Smith and wife Stacey of Marion Leonard Smith and wife Melanie of Marion Mike Smith and wife Chris of Marion Donnie Smith of Marion Sister Janet Brown and husband Doug of Marion Several nieces and nephews Preceded by his Parents, Brother Dale Smith and Sister Diane Smith Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Louis Fluck officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
