Marion Clifford R. Boner, 87, died on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 7:30 A.M. at Whispering Oaks.
Clifford was born September 2, 1920 in Devils Lake, North Dakota the son Ralph & Vera (Hoebbel) Boner. He married Genevieve Bowman in 1939 in Paducah, Kentucky and she preceded him in death on July 14, 1986. He later married Lottie Hastings on May 7, 1987 in Marion and she preceded him in death on October 11, 2006.
Clifford was a Postal Carrier in Pittsburg for 30 years. He was a member of the 1st Church of God, a WWII Veteran and for many years he volunteered with Little League, Pony League and American Legion baseball teams.

Sister Peggy Stephens of Marion
Half Brother- Michael Boner of West Frankfort, IL
Half Sister- JoAnn Beck of Mahomet, IL
Preceded by Parents, Wives
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Alan Ozment and Rev. Mike Ebert officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Unit. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
