Clover E. Pinkerton

Clover E.. Pinkerton, 97, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 1:30 pm at Herrin Hospital.   Clover was born May 14, 1917 in Decatur the loved and cherished only child of P.L. and Emma Catherine (Higdon) Lee.  She married Foster S. Brown, Sr on September 5, 1934 in Plymouth, Michigan and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1968.  She later married James M. Pinkerton on May 19, 1972 in Herrin and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1995.  She formerly worked for Patterson Chiropractic.  Clover was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Nimble Thimble Quilt Club of Herrin, Lake of Egypt Quilt Club, and Shawnee Quilt Club.  She was a member of the altar society of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed making quilts at the church. Survivors include; Three sons-   Russell Brown and wife Kathy of Plymouth, Michigan   Foster S. Brown, Jr. of Linnville, Washington   Richard Brown of Marion Six grandchildren Thirteen great grandchildren   Preceded by her Parents, Husbands, son – William J. Brown and daughter – Clover Ann Brown.  Funeral services will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Father Thomas Flach officiating.  Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oakland Hills, Michigan.  For those who prefer memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, IL  62959.
