Marion Cora Mae Lawrence, 102, of Lakeland, Florida formerly of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Cora was born March 29, 1907 in Marion the daughter of Frank & Etta Lois (Gill) Moore. She married Dennis Ralph Dink Lawrence in 1924 and he preceded her in death. Cora worked alongside her husband Dennis, in the family photography studio. She was of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include: Daughter Mary Janet Carr of Loganville, Georgia Son Ralph Lee Lawrence and wife Arthaline of Ft. Myers, Florida Grandchildren; Larry & Kathy Carr of New York, New York Sue & Dennie Hillard of Camarillo, California Jim Carr of Oakland, California Becky & Terry Sterling of Wilmington, Illinois Jewell & Craig Ross of Loganville, Georgia Jay & Brenda Carr of Roscoe, Illinois Bruce & Shelley Carr of Cumming, Georgia Gary & Sandy Lawrence of Macon, Georgia LeEllyn & Don Fitzgerald of Hudson, Florida Janet & Joe Wallace of Ft. Myers, Florida 19 Great Grandchildren 11 Great Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters Hazel Owens, Essie Burns, Nell Hindman Scarborough, Mary Neal McCauley, Margaret Spellbrink and one brother Leonard Moore. Funeral services will be Monday December 21, 2009 at 2 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Mrs. Lawrences grandson Dr. Jay Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
