Dale "Joe" Cook

Bush- DALE JOE COOK, age 78, of Bush, passed away at home on Thursday, September 9, 2009. Dale was born in Madison County, Missouri on May 7, 1931, the son of Lester and Ruby (Denbow) Cook. He married Lillie Mae Holland in Saint Louis on July 5, 1949. They shared fifty-eight years of marriage until her death on January 11, 2008. Mr. Cook was a United States Army Veteran, having been stationed in Germany. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include one Grandson- Bobby E. and Dalee Cook of Royalton, IL Four Great Granddaughters- Ricci, Sadie, Cassie, and Bobbi Cook Two Brothers- Frank and Junior Cook Four Sisters- Betty, Shirley, Kay, and Pat Several Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, one son- Richard E. Cook, Grandson- Richard Allen Cook, and two sisters- Anna Mae and Dot. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with arrangements.
