Daniel D. Gourley

Herrin- Daniel D. Gourley, 53, of Herrin, formerly of Chicago, passed away at 2:27 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at his home. Daniel was born on August 5, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Dossie & Lucille (Filipek) Gourley. He married Peggy Lindsey on December 7, 2001. Mr. Gourley worked as a contractor and carpenter, framing both commercial and residential structures, for various companies including Zeller Construction in Marion. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Survivors include- Mother- Lucille Gourley of Herrin Wife- Peggy Gourley of Herrin Son & daughter in law- Michael & Deirdre Gourley of Herrin Daughter- Rachel LaBelle of Carterville Son & daughter in law- Daniel & Constance LaBelle of Clarksville, TN Son- Jeffrey Lindsey of Marion Eleven Grandchildren Brother & sister in law- Stanley L. & Patsy Gourley of Marion Sister & brother in law- Liz & Randy Ogden of Herrin Sister- Lucille Allen of Brookport, IL Brother & sister in law- Stephen L. & Suzanne Gourley of Herrin Special niece- Jolene Sioux Gourley & husband Mike Norris of Thompsonville, IL Several nieces, nephews and cousins He was preceded in death by his father. As per his wishes, Daniel D. Gourley will be cremated and private memorial services will be held at a later date.
