Danny E. Hoffman

Herrin- DANNY E. HOFFMAN, age 55, of Herrin, passed away at 11:15am on Monday, February 18, 2008 at his residence in Herrin. Danny was born in Winchester, Indiana on June 1, 1953, the son of Warren L. and Mary (Barr) Hoffman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carterville. Danny was a United States Navy Veteran, having served in Vietnam, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He retired from the Navy after twenty four years of service and became a Support Administrator of ROTC. Survivors include his daughter- Sara Hoffman of Herrin, IL; special family member- Pamela Hoffman of Herrin, IL; and his sister- Jodi and Eric Nagel of Angola, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers- Bobby, Greg, and Warren D. Hoffman. A visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 6-8pm at Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Indiana. Burial will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery in Angola, Indiana with military rites performed at graveside. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
