Dante B. Caliper

HERRIN-Dante B. Caliper, 88, of Herrin, died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in Grange Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL. Mr. Caliper was born February 16, 1916 in Herrin, IL to Frank and Catherine (Sheehan) Caliper. He married Rena K. (Berrolatti) on January 1, 1941 in Ina, IL. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2003. Dante was a retired pipe fitter for Local #160, where he was also a member. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Herrin, as well as a past Elk and Knights of Columbus member. Survivors Include- Son and Daughter-In-Law- Jerry and Rhuann Caliper- Mascoutah, IL Grandchild- Rhuann Natae Caliper-Medico and Alex- St Louis, MO Grandchild- Jared B Caliper- Mascoutah, IL Preceded by- His parents- Frank and Catherine Caliper Wife- Rena K. Caliper 2 brothers- Frank and Joe Caliper 2 sisters- Teresa Macri and Mary Gentile Lawrence Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin, with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
