Darryll Vernell Krumrey, 68, of Marion passed away on Sunday, Novemer 27, 2016 at 4:30 pm at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Darryll was born May 20, 1948 in Carbondale the son of Vernell N. and Mildred A. (Reid) Krumrey. In 1992 he married Melody Fulkerson in Pope County, she is the mother of Harleigh and Jay.
Darryll was a farmer and a self-employed excavator. He attended the Journey Church, was a member of the Masonic Lodge #89 A.F. & A.M., BPOE #800 Marion and Shriners Club. He was a softball coach, active in the Marion Youth Baseball and Softball Association, coaching all three of his daughters. Darryll was a state licensed horse show judge, having judged all over the United States including one time in Italy. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He was a member of the Lake of Egypt Golf Club, where he was an avid golfer.
Darryll gave a lot back to the City of Marion, spending countless hours volunteering and assisting with city functions.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11 am at The Journey Church with Pastor Darrin Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Davis-Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 – 8 pm at the church. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
