Daryl E. Yackey

Daryl E. Yackey, 91, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008 5:10 P.M. at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center. Daryl was born November 5, 1916 the daughter of Aurthur and Edith (Pfundt) Stricker in St. Louis. She married Gilmore L. Yackey on June 5, 1936 and together they shared over 46 years of marriage until his death in July, 1982. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in St. Louis County and she retired from the accounting department of the Salvation Army. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Oak Hill Baptist Church in St. Louis County. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Music Department and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
