Pittsburg- David Evrard, 83, of Pittsburg, passed away at 6:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2008 at his home. David was born on March 10, 1924 in Pittsburg, IL to George & Marie K. (Knoles) Evrard. He married Ruth Harris on March 14, 1948 in Pittsburg. Mr. Evrard was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired after working many years as a coal miner at Peabody Coal. After retirement he worked in the construction industry. He was a member of the Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include- Wife- Ruth Evrard of Pittsburg Five sons & daughter in laws- Keith & Donna Evrard of Pittsburg Larry Leo & Sherry Evrard of Pittsburg Link & Anita Evrard of Marion David Lee & Pam Evrard of Herrin George Evrard of Pittsburg, Daughter- Luetta Ellis of Pittsburg Daughter & son in law- Renee & Kent Engram of Marion Daughter- Angie Ek of Marion Twelve Grandchildren Twenty Two Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandchild Sister- Marie Rogers of Pittsburg Sister- Vivian Rogers of Marion, IN Sister & brother in law- Dorothy & Charles Adams of Marion, IN Sister in law- Emma Layne & husband Orvel of West Frankfort Brother in law- Edward Harris & wife Elizabeth of Rockford, IL Brother in law- Eddie Harris & wife Marlene of Rockford Several nieces & nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Leo & George Evrard & three sisters- Louise Dunfee, Beatrice Moake & Reba Mae Evrard. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Kenneth Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
