David R Stephens

Johnston City- DAVID R. STEPHENS, age 49, of Johnston City, formerly of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away at 12:20pm on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his home in Johnston City. David was born in Oneida, TN on September 30, 1962, the son of Charles Don and Sadie Madeline (Clark) Stephens. Being the hard worker he was, he was always working on something. David was very personable, witty, generous and giving. Survivors include his brother- Country and Cristine Hill of Marion, IL Sister- Charlotte Pointer of Clearwater, FL Sister- Charlene Stephens of Oneida, TN Sister- Valerie Owens and fianc Mike Hill of Herrin, IL Best friend- Denny Peardon of Marion, IL Close nephew- Ronnie Don Smith of Herrin, IL Many Nieces, nephews and cousins Beloved Dog- Sugar He was preceded in death by his parents and brother- Donald Lee Stephens. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Number 8 Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
