Herrin- Deborah Colleen “Debbie” Kiesling, 61, of Herrin, passed away at 4:00 PM, Monday, June 25, 2018 at Doctor’s Nursing and Rehab Center in Salem, Illinois.
Debbie was born on July 12, 1956 in Herrin to James L. and E. Susan (Sweeney) Bayles. She married Mark E. Kiesling on May 15, 1982 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Mark survives of Herrin.
Debbie worked at the Sollami Company in Herrin until 1985. She later worked as an administrative assistant at the Southern Illinois Center for Independent Living until 2014. She most recently enjoyed spending time caring for her family.
Debbie was an active member of Community of Faith Church in Marion. She served the church body as an Elders wife and was instrumental in organizing food for events held at the church. She had a passion for cooking and baking and was well known for her Lemon Meringue Pie. She enjoyed spending what little free time she had with her husband, doting on her children and nieces and nephews. Debbie was always smiling and was a courageous fighter. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sister- Pam Martin and husband Jeff of Collierville, TN
Sister- Connie Odum and husband Mike of Herrin
Numerous nephews, nieces, and great nieces and nephews
Many cousins and several aunts and uncles
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Community of Faith Church/5208 Meadowland Pkwy, Marion, IL 62959. Rev. Steve McKeown, Rev. Todd Greiner and Pastor Troy Benitone will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Community of Faith Church/5208 Meadowland Pkwy, Marion, IL 62959. Funeral services were arranged through Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
