Debra A. Freeman

Debra A. Freeman, 64, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:35 pm at her home. Debra was born November 18, 1952 in Carbondale the daughter of Robert and Wanda (Sweeney) Fietsam. She married James Freeman on December 20, 1992 in Marion and together they have shared the 24 years of marriage. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. For over 33 years Debra was an LPN, working at Marion Memorial Hospital and Heartland Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed making angel pins and jewelry for herself and sharing them as gifts for her family and friends She is survived by her; Husband – James Freeman of Marion Step-son – Andrew Freeman and wife Alice of Marion Parents – Robert and Wanda Fietsam of Marion Mother-in-law – Bonnie Bayley of Marion Two brothers; Fred Fietsam and wife Linda of Marion Jerry Fietsam of Marion Three nieces; Christy Underwood and husband Rob of Marion Jennifer McCuan and husband Corey of Marion Lori Fietsam and fiancé Ryan Parrish of Marion Three nephews; John Fietsam and wife Kodi of St. Louis, Missouri Jeff Fietsam and wife Felicia of Marion James Fietsam of Marion Several great nieces and nephews Preceded by her Sister-in-law – Pam Fietsam and Father-in-law – William Freeman. Funeral services will be Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Homes with Rev. John Holst officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
