Della R. Venegoni

Herrin- Della R. Venegoni, 87, of Herrin died at 12:40 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2001 at Herrin Hospital. Della was born on May 10, 1913 in Herrin to the late Giovanni & Carolina (Berra) Garavaglia. She married Clyde M. Venegoni on May 11, 1937 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1976. Mrs. Venegoni was a homemaker in her own home and enjoyed spending time with her family, and craftwork, such as; knitting and crocheting. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Survivors: Dtr & Son in law- Mary Norma & Dr. Alex W. Miller- Downers Grove, IL Son & dtr in law- John Lee & Judy Venegoni- Herrin Grandchild- Alex & wife Karen Miller, IV- Edgerton, MN Grandchild- Anne & husband David Rogers- Warrenville, IL Four grt. Grandchildren: Kristen, Emily, & Caitlan Miller- Edgerton, MN Isabelle Rogers- Warrenville Brother- Louis Garavaglia- Ziegler, IL Several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters; Lena & Annie Garavaglia, Mary Battioli, and Katie Mayeski. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 30, 2001 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. The Herrin Knights of Columbus will provide pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin from 6-9:00 PM. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
