Delois Nadine Foy, 87, of Creal Springs, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 8:02 pm at her home.
Nadine was born February 2, 1928 in Green County, Illinois the daughter of John C. and Cora (Crabtree) McCaherty. She married Robert E. Foy on June 19, 1947 in Freeport and together they shared over 43 years of marriage until his death on December 18, 1990.
Her working career was as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Marion. Nadine enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, she celebrated life and treasured her time with her family.
Survivors include her;
Daughter – Monica Balson and husband Ronald of Lincolnshire
Son – James R. Foy and wife Tina of Lake Wales, Florida
Daughter – Jody Coleman of Marion

Sister – Peggy Dunn of Nilwood
Brother – John J. McCaherty and wife Sheila of Shreveport, Louisiana
Several nieces and nephews
Preceded by her Parents, Husband – Robert E. Foy, two sons – Michael Foy, John Foy, three daughters – Patrice Hobson, Peggy Decker, Margaret Foy, three brothers – Sam, Jake and Michael McCaherty and two sisters – Betty Peterson and Michelle McCaherty.
The funeral mass will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Deerfield, Illinois. Burial will follow in Willwood Burial Park in Rockford. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm on Monday at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home in Highland Park, Illinois. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with local arrangements.
