Dennis Stephen Capps

Herrin- Dennis S. Capps, 41, of Herrin, passed away at 1:15 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at his home in Herrin. Dennis was born on September 25, 1969 in Carbondale to Dennis W. & Jessie (Brandon) Capps. He was a graduate of Herrin High school and worked in various positions and jobs throughout his life including delivering pizza for Paglias in Carbondale and labor and construction installing pools with his step father. Dennis was protestant. He enjoyed all things having to do with computers, electronics and technology. He was a loving person who had two birds and helped care for his mothers dogs. He was musically inclined and liked playing the guitar and listening to classic rock music. He will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved him. Survivors include- Mother- Jessie Helsley of Herrin Sister- Lynn Winslow and husband Brian of Jackson, MO Sister- Connie J. Eldridge and companion Lynanne Page of Charleston, IL Niece- Casey Jo Todd of Savannah, GA He was preceded in death by his father and step-father- Darrell Helsley. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 8, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Jason McKinnies will officiate. Burial will follow at Cundiff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Southern Illinois Worship Center and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/201 S. 13th St/ Herrin, IL 62948.
