Desirae R. Watson

Carterville- Desirae R. Watson, age 6, of Carterville, passed away at 10:24am on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her grandparents home in DuQuoin.  Desirae was born on November 2, 2007 in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Joseph T. and Larissa (Jarvis) Watson.  Desirae had completed Kindergarten, and was going to be entering the First Grade at NorthsidePrimary School in Herrin.  She was a sassy little girl, who never met a stranger. She liked her teddy bears, stuffed animals, playing dress up, and eating. Desirae loved acting like “mommy” to her brothers and sister. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.  Survivors include her mother- Larissa Watson and Johnathan Inchcliff of Carterville Brother- Darius Jarvis of Carterville Brother- D’Andre Watson of Carterville Sister- Nevaeh Watson of Carterville Maternal Grandmother- Patricia Jarvis of Cambria Maternal Grandfather- James and Robin Jarvis of DuQuoin Paternal Grandmother- Rose Gonzalas of Cairo Uncle- Zachary Beckette of Lawton, OK Aunt- Amber Vaughn of Hurst Numerous Aunts and Uncles  She was preceded in death by her Father- Joseph T. Watson, Paternal Grandfather- Harlan Watson, and her Great Grandmother- Shirley Hunroe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the family.
