Dixie Vickers

Marion Dixie Vickers, 59, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 9:40 P.M. at her home in Marion. Dixie was born November 24, 1947 to Bill and Grace (Puls) Glaze in McDonough, County. She married Michael Vickers on June 19, 1979 in Bushnell, Illinois and together they have shared over 27 years of marriage. Dixie was a nurse at Marion Health Care in Marion. She had previously worked at Marion Memorial Hospital in the emergency room and surgery and for Joe Herman M.D. Survivors include: Husband Michael Vickers of Marion Two Sons; Shane Vickers of Marion Cody Vickers of Marion Granddaughter Kaley Vickers of Marion She was preceded in death by her parents. It was Dixies wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bushnell, Illinois. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Dixies granddaughter Kaley Vickers and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, IL 62959.
