Donald Holman

Donald G. Holman, 77, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 7:26 A.M. at his home in Marion. Donald was born April 9, 1933 the son of Mark & Wilma (Dowdy) Holman. He married Linda Hart on February 26, 1995 in Marion, she survives in Marion. He attended Spillertown Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Eagles. He worked for the Railroad for over 16 years. For over 45 years Donald was the owner of the Marion Cab Company. In addition to his wife he is survived by; Four daughters; Tracy Boatright and husband Jeff Melissa Duncan and husband Michael Diana Swinford and husband Tony Ronda Duckworth Son Timmy Holman Thirteen grandchildren; Ashley, Tiffany & Jeffery Boatright Ryan & Courtney Shadowens John Swinford Laura & Aaron Holman Jeremy & Stacey Duckworth Mekel, Colby & Ricki Holman Six great grandchildren; Hunter, Eyen & Reighley Caleb Nick & Karci Two sisters; Patsy McNelley Donna Holman Preceded by his Parents, Son Rick Holman, and Great Granddaughter Brittany Boatright Funeral services will be Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
