Donald Lee Taylor

Hurst- Donald Lee Taylor, 56, of Hurst, passed away at 2:15 AM, Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Don was born on October 10, 1953 in Cleveland, OH to Chester & Hazel (Williams) Taylor. He worked many years until his retirement as a roofer and was employed by Baines Roofing Co., prior to that he worked for Allen Industries in Herrin. He was protestant. He enjoyed fishing and camping at Rend Lake and gardening tomatoes and peppers. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He appreciated the little things like morning coffee with his sister and conversation with loved ones. Survivors include- Companion- Judy Krasselt of Hurst Son- Brian Taylor of Missouri Daughter- Tonya Taylor of Johnston City Daughter- Loudean Taylor of Cleveland, OH Daughter- Donna Taylor of Cleveland, OH Former wife and friend- Janice Taylor of Hurst Three Grandchildren Brother- Robert Taylor of Herrin Sister- Loudean Gee of Herrin Sister- Shirley Cobb of Hurst Sister- Judy Holderfield and husband Mack of Bush Sister- Murle Crabtree & husband Clint of Herrin Sister- Imogene Pratt of Royalton Sister- Paula Wells & husband Le Roy Cofer of Orient Numerous nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers- Earl, Ray & Chester Taylor and three sisters- Carolyn Gaillard, Maxine Wright and twin sister Donna Taylor. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 9, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the funeral home.
