Johnston City- DONALD LEO RAGSDALE, JR Little Donald, age 46, of Johnston City, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his home in Johnston City. Donald was born in Herrin on February 22, 1966, the son of Donald Leo Ragsdale, Sr. and Patricia Ann (Williams) Carney. They have both preceded him in death. Donald loved spending time with his father squirrel and rabbit hunting, fishing, and drinking coffee. Survivors include his daughter- April Wyant of West Frankfort Son- Gary Ragsdale of West Frankfort Son- James Ragsdale of West Frankfort Daughter- Montana Jo Ragsdale of Johnston City Grandson- Curtis Wyant, Jr. of West Frankfort Sister- Rebecca and David Roethler of Marion Sister- Brenda Ragsdale of Herrin Sister- LaDonna Ragsdale of Johnston City Sister- Anne and Nathan Belcher of Marion Sister- Sarah and Andrew Baker of Marion Sister- Jennifer Ragsdale of Marion Step-Sister- Danielle and Doug Warden of Zeigler Step-Brother- Curtis and Darlene Carney of Paducah, KY Step-Brother- Timothy and Cassie Carney of Minneapolis, MN Step-Sister- Audrey Isaac of Minneapolis, MN Step-Mother- Peggy Ragsdale of Johnston City Step-Father- Thomas J. Carney of Herrin Former Spouse- Sandra Samel of West Frankfort Several nieces and nephews Numerous cousins Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-3pm on Thursday at the funeral home. As per his wishes, he will be cremated following funeral services. Inurnment will take place at 1pm on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Herrin City Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery on Saturday.
