Donna Powenski

Herrin-Donna Powenski, 63, of Herrin, died at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, July 13th, 2003 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Donna was born on January 24, 1940 in Pittsburg, IL to Earl & Pansey (Jones) Slater. She married Leo Powenski on June 5, 1982 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1998. Mrs. Powenski retired from Williamson County Transit where she worked as a driver. She attended the Energy First Baptist Church and was an avid NASCAR Fan. Survivors: Son- Richard Hearn- Johnston City Son & dau in law- Douglas & Kerry Hearn- Edgewater, FL Four Grandchildren: Richard Cole Hearn- Herrin Kyle Hearn- Edgewater, FL Ryan Hearn- Johnston City Riley Hearn- Johnston City Sister & bro in law- Carol & Wally Ackley- Mt. Vernon, IL Sister & bro in law- Sydney & David Connaway- Mt. Vernon, IL Two Nephews & One Niece Many Special Friends She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Everett Otey, husband, and one son Donald Hearn. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin.
