Marion-Donnie E. Allen, 65, passed away at 2:10pm on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his home. Donnie was born on September 24, 1949 in Williamson County to Edgar Allen and Margaret (Swann) Wade.  He retired from Terminix after being an exterminator for many years.  Donnie enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Marion Garden Club where he won Garden of the Month for May 2015.  He also enjoyed genealogy and was a former member of the Marion Historical Society. Survivors include: Daughter-Lisa (Justin) Griffith of Johnston City Granddaughter-Emily May Gibson of Johnston City Grandson-Brandon Gibson of Johnston City Close friend-Rene Trapani of Johnston City Several cousins Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, John Maurice Allen; brother, Eddie Allen and step father, James Wade. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 12pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Schell and Rev. Don Colson officiating.  Burial will follow at Lake Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
