Dora Ellen Dunn

Marion Dora Ellen Dunn, 92, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 9:55 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Dora was born November 16, 1914 in Williamson County to J.N. and Dora Ellen (Meneese) Lannom. She married Walter Dunn on December 24, 1936 in Williamson County and together they shared over 50 years of marriage until his death on March 26, 1987. Dora was a homemaker and a member of McKinney Chapel Church. Dora is survived by Her daughter Carol Chamness and husband Leon of Fairfield Grandchildren; Lavern Chamness, Kathy Carman, Vicki Zurliene and Diane Lyell Six Great Grandchildren Preceded by Parents, Husband, Walter Dunn, Son, Phillip Thomas Dunn, Brother, John Lannom and Sister, Clara Hogg. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 5, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock and Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
