Dorcas B. Wimberly

Herrin- Dorcas B. Dinky Wimberly, 47, of Herrin, formerly of Chicago, passed away at 6:00 AM, Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Dorcas was born on December 13, 1960 in Danville, KY to Bobby Clarence & Sandra Jean (Horton) Smock. She formerly worked as a waitress at Johnnys Grill. Mrs. Wimberly was Baptist and enjoyed cooking, shopping and gardening flowers and tomatoes. She loved singing country songs and spending time traveling with Angel and spending time with their grandchildren. Survivors include- Husband- Angel Garcia of Herrin Daughter- Sandra Wimberly and companion Rebecca Spohnholtz of Zeigler Son- Marlon Wimberly & fiance Angel Hoffman of Herrin Daughter- Elizabeth Wimberly and companion Brandon Kingery of Herrin Four grandchildren Six brothers and sisters Several nieces and nephews Her parents and one brother preceded her in death. As per her wishes, Mrs. Wimberly will be cremated. Memorial arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
