Doris Evelyn Beasley

January 25, 1927 — September 6, 2014

Doris Evelyn Beasley, 87, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11 pm at Herrin Hospital. Doris was born January 25, 1927 in Pittsburg the daughter of Lynnworth and Grace (Elliott) Fox.  She married William Leon Beasley on November 25, 1944 in Paducah and together they shared over 51 years of marriage until his death on January 12, 1996. She attended Mt. Pleasant (Poordo) Baptist Church. She worked at Mark Twain Manufacturing and retired from Allen Industries. Survivors include her; Three sons; William Beasley and fiancé Theresa Bryden of Clarksville, Tennessee Carl Beasley and wife Loretta of Galatia Andy Leon Beasley of Pittsburg Six grandchildren Sixteen great grandchildren Preceded by her Parents, Husband – William Leon Beasley, Daughter –Betty June Curry, Two brothers – Sylvestor and Ralph Fox. Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 1 pm at Mt. Pleasant-Poordo Cemetery with Rev. Jason Jean officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant-Poordo Cemetery Fund.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois  62959.
