DOROTHEA FAYE COBB Herrin -- Dorothea Faye Cobb, 96, died at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mrs. Cobb was born March 18, 1906 in Peoria, IL to Harvey A. and Gussie (DeMatte) Willcoxen. She was a beautician at Dorothy's Beauty Shop for 46 years. She was a member of the BP&W Club, the Alstrusa Club, Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Past President's Club and active in many civic organizations. She was a member of the Herrin First United Methodist Church. Her family and friends knew her as "Cobbie". She married James Ellis Cobb August 1, 1920 in St. Louis, MO. He died August 18, 1977. Survivors include: Granddaughter and husband - Adalee and Bob Davie -Jonesboro, IL Granddaughter and husband - Virginia & Roger Johnson - Westchester, IL Three great grandchildren - Sandra and Zane Schaefer - Jonesboro, IL Lisa and Kenney Livesay - Wolf Lake, IL Kimberly Welch - Carrollton, GA Great grandchildren - Sonja Carter - Savoy, IL Shawn Bradley - Urbana, IL Alexis and Samantha Schaefer - Wolf Lake, IL Nathan & Kalen Livesay - Wolf Lake, IL Extended family - Virginia and Russell Davis - Anna, IL Patrick Davis - Anna, IL Her parents, husband, daughter and son in law, Marjorie Mae "Billie" and W. J. "Red" McPherson preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2002 at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Revs. David Eidson and John Prather will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN and will be accepted at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home, PO Box 429, Herrin, IL 62948.
