Dorothy LaBotte Lupkey

Dorothy LaBotte Lupkey, 89 of Marion, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10:24 am, in the loving arms of Jesus at Herrin Hospital. Dorothy was born May 7, 1928 in Marion the daughter of Angus and Attla (Morse) Barger. She married Cecil LaBotte who preceded her in death.  Dorothy later married Charles Lupkey who preceded her in death on July 10, 2012. She was a homemaker. Dorothy was very active in her church as a Sunday School teacher and in Bible School.  Her church membership was in Tampa, Florida. Survivors include her;Son – Ed LaBotte and wife Sherry of Marion Daughter – Anita Sigler of West Frankfort Five grandchildren; Kyle LaBotte and wife Leah of Johnston City Kelly Dexter and husband Brad of Johnston City Donnetta Jent and husband Robert of West Frankfort Todd Sigler and wife Christina of Benton Scott Sigler of Fairview Heights Six great grandchildren Step-son – Gary Lupkey and wife Debbie of Missouri Preceded by her Parents, First husband – Cecil LaBotte, Husband – Charles Lupkey, Son-in-law – Don Sigler, two Brothers – Troy and Leslie Barger, Sister – Mildred Barger. Funeral services will be Friday, May 19, 2017 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Dexter officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
