Dovie Mann

Herrin- Dovie Berolatti Mann, 89, of Herrin, passed away at 4:15 AM, Thursday, November 23, 2007 at Whispering Oaks in Marion. Dovie was born on August 12, 1918 in Herrin to Clarence & Lucinda (Miller) Simpson. She married Jess Mann on February 25, 1969. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1996. Dovie retired from Barnetts, where she worked in upholstery. She formerly worked as a seamstress at Swann in Florida. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in West Frankfort. Survivors include- Son & daughter in law- Louis & Ruth Ann Berolatti of Robinson, IL Grandchild- Barbara Riggs & husband James of Robinson Grandchild- Michael Berolatti & wife Denise of Highland Great grandchildren- Hailey & Joe Riggs of Robinson Great Grandchildren- Garrett & Gabrielle Berolatti of Highland Step daughter- Barbara Ford Step Daughter- Sandy McNeely Step Son- Dwayne Mann Step Son- David Mann Step Son- John Mann Step Son- Stephen Mann Sister- Beulah McPherson of Louisiana Several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings-Blanche Artis, Pauline McPheron, Russell Simpson & Duncan Simpson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 26, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Bobby J. McPheron will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service Monday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
