Marion Dr. Harry L. Wesenberg, 99, formerly of the Lake of Egypt, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 4:24 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Wesenberg was born September 2, 1907 in America, Illinois the son of Charles Henry and Jenny Lin (Blanton) Wesenberg. He married Marjorie Wyckoff on July 18, 1932 in Linneus, Missouri. Together they shared over 43 years of marriage until her death on August 29, 1975.
Dr. Wesenberg graduated from Lincoln College in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1939 with a degree in chiropractic medicine. He maintained a practice in Detroit, Michigan from 1939 until his retirement in 1970. He moved to the Lake of Egypt in 1972.
He was a member of the Marion Eagles Club for many years. He also served with distinction as a member of the Lions Club of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, serving as chairman of their Eye Conservation program for several years. For his work he was awarded the clubs outstanding achievement award in recognition of loyalty and devotion to Lionism from 1958 to 1962. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Cardinal baseball, and loved sharing those interests with his nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded by: Parents, Wife, Four sisters, Daisy Wesenberg, Freda Wesenberg, Ada Stewart and Bertha Dobbs, Three brothers, Herman Wesenberg, Paul Wesenberg and Charles Wesenberg.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 12, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Donelson officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
